Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon, is only a short 2. We flew up in mid-February and spent 5 days enjoying some incredible winter activities, including seeing the northern lights! We stayed at 2 different romantic, lesbian friendly resorts, and got to check out a lot of great local businesses.

Whitehorse Community Space The Cache is Queer Yukon’s community space in downtown Whitehorse. It is a safer* space for 2SLGTBQIA+ community and supportive allies to gather socially and access Queer Yukon’s programs & services. Staff are on site during Drop In to assist visitors in accessing internal and external services.

But few moved me as much as the crosswalks bearing rainbow and trans pride colors poking out from beneath the slush in tiny Whitehorse, Yukon.

Check-in at Toronto Pearson was a disorganised mess. Lots of self check-in machines but too few staff. It was chaotic.
